By Road

From London or from the M25 Junction 10 take the A3 to the South West (signed Guildford and Portsmouth). After Guildford the A3 goes over the Hog's Back and Godalming is signed off left (South).
Follow the signs along the B3000 and then A3100 into Godalming.

From the South Godalming is signed from Milford.

From the West on the A31 the exit to Godalming is signed and is midway along the Hog's Back.

There is parking for orange badge holders on Godalming High Street (and level entrance to the Museum from the High Street). The nearest pay and display car park is in South Street, off Flambard Way (the A3100 relief road around the town centre). A signed footpath leads from the car park through the Museum garden (5 steps).

By Train

Godalming is on the London Waterloo - Portsmouth direct line (South West Trains). Off peak, trains leave Waterloo at 38 and 53 minutes past each hour and the journey takes 41 - 45 minutes. Cross-country connections are possible at Clapham Junction, Woking, Guildford and Havant. The Museum is a short (but steep) walk from the station. Turn right out of the Station and walk down Mill Lane which crosses the River Ock and then climbs back up to Station Road. Cross Station Road and use the pedestrian access past the Red Lion to reach the High Street. Turn left onto the High Street. You will be able to see the Old Town Hall in the centre of the road and the Museum is on your right, opposite it.

By Bus

The number 71 (Guildford - Godalming - Haslemere - Hindhead) stops outside the Museum.
Contact Surrey Traveline on for timetable information.
